Little Learners @ East Huntspill Primary Academy 

We have one class in pre-school, known as Little Learners with up to 20 children in the class at any one time.  Our preschool team ensure that the pre-school provision meets the expectations set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as provide opportunities for them to integrate and be part of the academy as a whole. We welcome children aged 2 years and above to learn, explore and have fun through play. 

We understand and celebrate the unique qualities in every child, and we ensure our setting is an enjoyable and positive experience for all the children in our care. Our vibrant classroom offers access to a wealth of natural resources and learning opportunities, with the outside area being an extension of the classroom. 

How do I sign my child up?

We would be delighted to welcome you at one of our upcoming open days. We recommend you contact us early if you are interested in a place.

What are your session times?

8.00am - 8.45am – Breakfast Club

8.45am - 11.45am – Morning 

11.45am - 12.15pm – Lunch

12.15pm - 3.15pm - Afternoon 

What funding can I access?

Funding for two year olds for working families 

If you are looking to apply for funding for 2-year-olds for working families (which came into effect from 1 April 2024), please visit the Childcare Choices page. Use the ‘Apply now’ button under the heading ’15 and 30 hours support’.

​Funding for two-year-olds for supported families 

Families can get funding for 2-year-olds if they meet the criteria which can be found on the Somerset County Council website. 

Funding for three and four-year olds

Children aged three and above will be entitled to either 15 or 30 hours fully funded childcare per week (term time only). If you are looking for more information about what you might be eligible for and when this starts for your child, you can find more information on the Somerset County Council website.
